FAQ's - Why would the price change?

4 main things affect the price of a car lease,

Car price – Most of the volume cars we provide are physical stock (see Physical stock FAQS) – this means that the car is sitting at a dealer ( or more likely in the dealer’s stocking compound!) – The price on these vehicles rarely changes (apart from downwards!). If a car has to be factory ordered then unfortunately the manufacturer may increase the price before delivery. I don’t like this any more than you do, but that’s the way it is – you would normally be able to cancel the order if a significant increase is levied, and thankfully this is not so common nowadays as a few years ago, when some manufacturers (yes you Mercedes!!) seemed to increase prices monthly.

Interest rate – If base rates change after you have had the initial quote, but before formal acceptance (see legal stuff), then the rental may change.

Risk margin charged by the finance house – if upon receipt of your finance proposal, your credit risk is above normal then we may have to use funders who will accept your risk profile, invariably this will be at a higher rate than our best funders. The answer to this is to keep your credit score high! If you are a new business, then you can mitigate the cost by providing a Directors guarantee (assuming you have a good personal credit rating of course!). Alternatively, the finance house may accept you with a higher deposit, the good news is this will reduce your ongoing monthly payments!

Residual value prediction of the finance house – The price you pay is based on a future resale prediction for the vehicle at the end of the lease. All finance houses review these predictions periodically, and any quotes that have not been formally accepted (see legal stuff), may have to be re-quoted.

What will never change is anything to do with us!! I have often supplied a vehicle at cost (or even below) in the rare cases where something goes wrong. It really is the last resort to come back and change a quoted price to you our valued client.
